Playtesting Quest, Part 1

Hello! And welcome to this new blog!

You may have come here through me linking from my Twitter account (@Silent7Seven), from a BoardGameGeek post, or even because you're looking for information on my old D&D 4E publications.

In any case, my focus for this blog, at least for its outset, is to discuss the game I've been working on for a few months. The working title is Quest, and it's a single-player expandable card game that I hope to eventually put up on Kickstarter. I've been playtesting the game a good amount and having fun with it, but it's time to get the game into strangers' hands so I can garner some good, useful feedback.

I hope to start filling this blog with updates about what I'm working on in terms of the game. For example, I'm sure I could come up with a lot to say about the game's design process if properly prompted and/or inspired. I also have a card graphic design I'm pretty happy with that I could show off at some point.

I want to start off slowly, though, by making the game available for playtesting with the high bar set of only allowing people who e-mail me. If you want a print-and-play edition of the game, e-mail me at fissionessence at hotmail dot com. Just let me know who you are online, where you found out about the game, and how much you think you'll be able to play. I currently have two .pdfs: one with the simple, one-page rules and the eighty-six cards needed to play; and another with the eight-page comprehensive rules.

Thanks for checking out the page, and even if you can't or don't want to jump in just yet, keep your ears and eyes open for future updates about Quest!
